Indications for Femoral Interlocking Nail

- Comminuted Fractures: This type of fracture involves the bone being broken into multiple fragments or pieces. It often occurs due to high-energy trauma, such as severe car accidents or falls from a significant height.

- Segmental Fractures: Segmental fractures refer to a type of fracture where a single bone is broken in two places, creating a separated segment of bone between the two fracture sites.

- Proximal and Distal Fractures: Proximal fractures occur closer to the center or the origin of a structure, such as a bone or a joint, while distal fractures occur farther away from the center or toward the end of the structure.

- Subtrochanteric Fractures: Subtrochanteric fractures are fractures that occur in the area of the femur bone just below the hip joint, known as the subtrochanteric region. These fractures often require surgical intervention due to the complex anatomy and high risk of complications.
